Onam, the state festival of kerala is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Being a harvest festival,it is time to thank God for the bountiful yield.
Make intricate “Pookolams” to welcome King Mahabali as people believe that during Onam the King returns to pay a visit to his people. Listen to the popular legend of the most colourful festival.
The Thread of Love
The festival of Rakshabandhan is entirely dedicated to the love and affection shared between a brother and sister. Celebrate Rakshabandhan and make it special by creating your own designer Rakhees.

You could even read your letter aloud for the benefit of your friends!! Get started on letter writing!!!!

Activity at Hippocampus- 10:00am to 10:30am
Departure from Hippocampus at 10:30am
Arrival at GPO, Bangalore by 11:00am
Tour of the grounds and facilities from 11:00am to 12:00pm
Arrival at Hippocampus by 12.30pm
Note to parents:
Children to carry their own water bottles and snacks.
Children to wear comfortable clothes (full pants/ trousers, sneakers/closed shoes and caps)
Registrations are limited, so do confirm participation before Wednesday (26th) evening. The cost for the trip is Rs 350/- for members & Rs.450/- for non-members, this is inclusive of transportation and mentor fee.

Between 5 and 7 pm this Saturday, Hippocampus will transform itself for the annual Halloween party! Come over to join in some spooky clean fun!
Come dressed in your ‘boo’giest best or just come in prepared to get ‘goosebump’ed!
Have fun with mad cap games with mummies (the wrapped up variety!), ghosts and witches!
Enter the Creepy Crafts Corner to make bats and hats!
Enjoy a frightful array of snacks – Witches Warts… Vampire Fangs in Blood… Pizza Mummies… Ghost Toasts… and wash it all down with some warm Bloody Soup with Goop! Yukky? Yummy? or what?!?
And as always, for the 10 yrs + age group there’s Jack O’Lantern carving.
This year, we are bringing only a limited number of pumpkins, so call in / mail by Thursday (23rd October) evening to book one for yourself and avoid disappointment. (The pumpkins will be charged at actuals).

Rajyotsava Day
Rajyotsava signifies “the birth of a State” and marks the formation of linguistic provinces, once India became a republic in the year 1950. Several Districts in North Karnataka & Hyderabad Karnataka were dissolved in the new State.
On November 1st, 1973, Karnataka -formerly Mysore got its new name.
In recognition of “Kannada Rajyotsava” we help children make “wrist bands” symbolizing the colours of the Karnataka flag. Come, make your “Arshina Kumkuma” coloured wrist bands.
