HipScience club – KOR
FUNDALABBZ, a year long science program by Butterfly Fields, always encourages children to learn by doing. After several successful programs, FUNDALABBZ is back to help you understand the gigantic world of science using a practical approach. This time around you will turn rough fibre to fine cloth, and make 3 D models of faces, toy telephones and much more!
So gear up, and join this club for a time of ‘learning by doing’, and try your hand at things you have never done before and take home some of your genius inventions!
The sessions start on 17th July ’10 and is held every Saturday between 4:00 and 5:30 pm.
FEE: For members- Rs. 3000
For non-members- Rs. 3,500
This program is intended only for kids in classes 2 – 4
The schedule includes:
- 10 activities, one back-up session and one assessment session
- a practical approach – with hands-on Activities / Experiments (closely based on the School Curriculum CBSE / ICSE / State Boards) every session
- Tool kit, Material for projects, Activity Book - all provided
- Models made by children taken home after each session, and
Regular Feedback – an assessment test at the end of each term giving a comprehensive evaluation of the child’s performance.

AEROMODELLING, TRIP TO KABINI and ART CORNER

Location: Hippocampus Experience Centre
Description: Introducing children to the fascinating world of Model Aviation as a fun sport & hobby. This workshop keeps education in the background and fun and experience in the foreground!
Day 1: Introduction to Model Aviation
Day 2: Building & Trimming of a ‘Wood Chucker’
Day 3: Flying of the Wood Chucker and Trimming and flying of the Chipmunk
Day 4: Introduction and demo of ‘Yellow Bird’
Day 5: Instructions to fly radio-controlled planes on the Simulator
About the Mentor:
Altius, an offshoot of Aerosports, was started in early 2010.
Set up to promote model aviation as an educational tool, in addition to being a sport & hobby, in Bangalore. Their summer camp modules make sure children have tons of fun and, learn a bit at the same time!

A WALK WITH NATURE!
