Seeds planted by Little Saplings of Hippocampus!
November 27, 2009
The silence of the morning was broken with the kids rushing in to celebrate the 1st Indian Prime Minister’s Birthday, better known as Children’s Day with Hippocampus. Thanks to Nirmala and Sonal, the toddlers enjoyed the story of Munia, the bird who found gold by planting and nurturing a little cherry fruit into a big cherry tree. The simplicity and innocence of the story enthralled the tiny ones.
This was followed by two treasure hunts; for the older kids, it was a series of clues leading them to the “Pot of Gold” filled with sweets and seeds. The seeds were duly planted by all the kids irrespective of their involvement in the activity. Who says “Hoo” doesn’t believe in Unity in Diversity!!!
The older bunch of kids participated in ‘Paint Life King Size’ . Organized by Welpac- Bangalore, the winners have been promised a life-size print of their work. The painting competition saw Renaissance-inspiring budding Michaelangelos to paint/draw or sketch their creativity on paper.
Indeed a Happy Children’ Day to all of us!!!
More fun filled weekends coming your way!
Story telling using Puppets is on 21st November and Loony Cartoony Workshop is on 22nd November!!
And keep returning for more pictures…
Till then this is Hoo signing off.
