A puppet and some hoo-pla!

The celebration continues! Pinty Aunty has been a regular hit with the kids, and her ‘Storytime’. An acclaimed theatre person, she will regale the children with a story using puppets AND teach children how to make puppets out of waste.
So, come on and join in the festivities this weekend too!
PLEASE NOTE THE PUPPET SHOW IS OPEN TO CHILDREN OF ALL AGES. THE MAKING OF PUPPETS WILL BE A RESTRICTED ACTIVITY FOR THE 7 & ABOVE AGE GROUP.
Sunday 25th March’07 at 11:30am: HOOPLA! Its fun & games time yet again!(Ages 3-6)
Kick off the summer holidays playing and learning indoor games… those you can play when the Sun is really beating down!
Old favourites like ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’ ‘Hand on Hand’ ‘I’m thinking of an Animal…’ ‘Rock, Paper Scissors’ and the newer version – ‘Lady, Tiger, Hunter’

Water, water at Chennai
Saturday 24th March’07 at 11:00am: Puppet Show on Water Awareness (Ages 3 – 6)
World Water Day is celebrated on March 22nd. We felt that kids in Chennai should be made aware of the importance of water. So do come for the puppet show and also get to make a small puppet .
Saturday 24th March’07 at 12:00pm: Celebrate World Water Day (Ages 7 & above)
How aware are you of the importance of water !! Play a game of dumb charades, pictionary, and take part in a quiz and check out your knowledge on water.

Ugadi celebrations…

Saturday 17th March ’07, 4 to 6pm: Make Ugadi Greeting Cards with Jayanthi Aunty (Ages 5 yrs & above)
Ugadi ushers in the New Year for the people of the Deccan region in India. While Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka use the term Ugadi for this festival, Maharashtra celebrates it as Gudi Padwa. So come and celebrate Ugadi with us.
Sunday 18th March’07, 11 to 1 pm: Its Earth Day! (Ages 7 yrs & above)
Lets increase our awareness of our world with a poster making activity with Sreedhar Uncle.

In Chennai this weekend…
Saturday 17th March’07 at 11:30 am: Celebrate Barbie’s Birthday (Ages 3 – 6)
Dress code is pink, bring your Barbie’s along, its hair styling day, also decorate with pink icing a cake for your Barbie. Play some Barbie games and have a lot of fun !!!
Sunday 18th March ’07 at 11.30 am: Celebrate Ugadi at Hippocampus (Ages 7 & above)
Know more about the festival and how it is celebrated in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Make Payasam and Vada and paint diyas that will adorn your pooja room.
