Last weekend the Hoolingans were very busy…

At Hippocampus Koramangala, we had over 50 children troop in on Sunday morning to get their hands dirty! Claytime with award winning potter and sculptor Rajshekar was like a mad party and kids and parents were lining up for seconds!

In Chennai, end of school year nostalgia was celebrated with a session to frame your memories!

Hippocampus Shankarapuram had a great weekend with their Holi celebrations replete with all the colours of spring and summer! A promise of more fun in the summer holidays for sure!

A series on adventure, UFOs and some folklore

Get ready for a brand new series of fantastic books! Authored by Mary and Stephen Moore, the first book, Enchanted Lands – The Mission is said to be a “funny and fascinating book” filled with talking animals, aliens.

It’s a summer adventure and a talking owl enlists Chilton Bear Claw aka Chili, his best friend Mac and his retired racing greyhound Emily Running Deer into the Zozoan Force, which is a uber cool thing to happen. And their adventures begin.

The book has just been released and looks like those 9 years and older can read it.
So, hoard that pocketmoney, dig out stray coins from under the cupboard, run errands for generous members in the family and take a jingling money purse to your nearest bookstore! The reviews promise that it’s worth it!

So, come over… learn to make and decorate one.

Paramapadam – The ancient game of Snakes and Ladders

Let’s rediscover the simple pastimes of yore. Games for which you don’t need electricity or batteries! Paramapadam is a board game that is just like snakes and ladders, but with an ethical twist. It’s supposed to be a game of life where bad deeds (symbolized by sinful snakes) bring you down (to hell) and good deeds (symbolized by helpful ladders) take you up to the top (heavens). We also have some other traditional games lined up, so come on and check out whether you can take on real challenges… not virtual ones!

Please make sure you register for both these activities by Friday evening.
