Extra! Extra!
Hippocampus Experience Center is all set to produce a grand musical production for children, by children! Jack o’ Lantern scripted and directed by Chennai’s popular theatre-director, Krishna Kumar, will be staged at the Alliance Française de Chennai on the 19th and 20th of January 2007. The production includes a cast of 30 children from schools across Chennai, and is suitable for children of all ages.

This Saturday Pranali Aunty tells you a story on the colorful life of a “Butterfly”! You also get to make and take home a beautiful Butterfly mask!
Sunday 21st Jan ’07 at 11:30 am: Look to the skies (All Ages)
Tony uncle will introduce you to the exhilarating joys only kite flying can bring!!
We go kite flying at the park near Agara Lake on Sarjapur Road (opposite Lemon Grass restaurant). Those who have kites, get them along, we will provide some kites too, do inform us if you need them.
You can get to the venue directly too. Please note that the entry to this park is on the other side of the lake, the Sarjapur Ring Road.
Registrations required for both sessions.Please register for the Saturday activity only if you are sure of attending, as you may be taking away some other child’s chance to participate.
Feluda comes alive on radio
If you have read and enjoyed this super detective and his adventures, here’s some news for you! Rahul Bose (as Feluda) and Anupam Kher (as Lalmohan Ganguly) will feature in a dramatisation of Feluda: The Golden Fortress on February 10th thanks to the BBC World Service. Feluda has been created by Satyajit Ray who wrote some 35 adventure stories starring him.

This Saturday get set to VROOM… VROOM…… VROOM……… with Rachna Aunty because the theme for this session is “Transport”. Aunty will help you fly paper airplanes & float paper boats.
And if it’s a transportation party, then why shouldn’t your toys come in too?
So, do get one of your favorite vehicle toys and zoom……(only models pl.)

Kolam & Karumbu – Let’s celebrate Sankranthi ‘Pongal Style’ with Kolams & Karumbu /strong>
Kolams are Floor Designs (Rangolis) usually made of rice flour (in paste or powder form). They are drawn outside homes as invitation to all, welcoming people and prosperity into the home.
Kavitha Aunty and Syama Aunty are here to help you learn to make some simple designs. All are Welcome!
We are also having a small sugarcane peeling competition… so, come and show us how strong your teeth are!
A SMALL NOTE: it would be lovely if we dressed in traditional wear, but please make sure that children have napkins to save their clothes from stains.
